Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Ankitbhai Jayantibhai Patel ("we", "us", "our"), the developer of the Vinviter – Video Invitation Maker mobile application (the "App"), collects, uses, stores and shares information when you use the App.

The App lets you create video invitations, e-cards, photo invitations, caricatures and similar content for weddings, birthdays and other events, and share them with your guests. By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

• Invitation content – names, event details, dates, venue, text, photos, videos and music that you add to a template.
• Photos for AI features – photos you choose for caricature, background removal or photo enhancement are uploaded to our server so the feature can be processed.
• Payment details – when you buy a premium template or plan, your name, email address and mobile number are passed to our payment partner to complete the transaction. We do not collect or store your card, UPI or bank details.
• Support messages – information you send when you contact us by email or WhatsApp.

2.2 Information collected automatically

• Device identifiers – an app-generated device ID, the Firebase anonymous user ID, and the Android Advertising ID.
• Device and app information – device model, OS version, app version, language, network type.
• Usage data – screens viewed, templates opened, favourites, created items and in-app events.
• Crash and performance data – crash logs, stack traces and performance traces used to fix bugs.
• Approximate or precise location – only if you grant permission, and only when you use a feature that needs it (for example adding a venue location).
• Push notification token – used to send you notifications.

2.3 Information we do not collect

We do not access your contacts, call logs or SMS, and we do not record audio from your microphone.

3. Device permissions

The App asks for the following permissions. You can deny or revoke any of them in your device settings; some features may then not work.

4. How we use information

• To provide the App's features – creating, rendering, saving and sharing invitations.
• To process photos for AI features (caricature, background removal, enhancement).
• To remember your favourites, creations and premium purchases.
• To process payments and unlock premium content.
• To send notifications about new templates, offers and updates.
• To show advertising that keeps the App free.
• To analyse usage, fix crashes and improve performance.
• To prevent fraud and abuse, and to comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Third-party services

The App uses the following third-party services. Each one may collect information under its own privacy policy.

6. Advertising

The free version of the App shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your Advertising ID, IP address and device information to show personalised or non-personalised ads and to measure ad performance.

You can reset your Advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads at any time in Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads) on your Android device.

7. Payments & purchases

Premium templates and plans are paid through Razorpay. Payment information (card, UPI, net-banking or wallet details) is entered directly into Razorpay's secure checkout and is never stored on our servers. We receive only the order ID, payment status and the contact details needed to confirm your purchase.

8. Sharing & disclosure

We share information only:

• With the service providers listed in Section 5, to operate the App.
• When you choose to share an invitation through WhatsApp, social media or any other app – that content is then governed by the receiving app's policy.
• When required by law, court order or government request.
• To protect the rights, safety and property of our users, us or the public.
• In connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with notice to you.

9. Data retention

• Invitations you create are saved on your device and stay there until you delete them or uninstall the App.
• Photos uploaded for AI processing are kept on our server only as long as needed to generate the result and are then deleted periodically.
• Purchase records are kept as long as required for accounting, tax and legal purposes.
• Analytics and crash data are retained according to the retention settings of the respective third-party provider.

10. Account & data deletion

You can request deletion of the data associated with your device at any time by emailing vinviter.official@gmail.com with the subject "Data deletion request". Please include the email or mobile number used for any purchase so we can locate your records.

We will delete your data within 30 days, except for information we must keep by law (for example payment records). Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data from your device.

11. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted HTTPS connections and encrypted API communication. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live (including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the EU/UK GDPR and California's CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Withdraw consent or object to processing.
• Opt out of personalised advertising and push notifications.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 17. We will respond within 30 days.

13. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

14. International transfers

We are based in India. Our servers and third-party providers may process information in India and other countries. By using the App, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in these countries, which may have different data protection laws than your own.

15. Links to other sites

The App may contain links to third-party websites or apps (for example WhatsApp, Instagram or Google Maps). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services and encourage you to read their policies.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and significant changes will be announced in the App. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
